Experience a Local Farm Tour in Boise

You’ve enjoyed the delicious and wholesome food we produce at McIntyre Family Farms. Now, why not book a tour of the farm and experience it in a whole new light?

When you visit our family farm, it’s not a commercial petting zoo. You’ll be right here on the farm where we do all our work, raise our animals, and create the food that you put on your table.

This is an educational experience that goes beyond what your child can get in a classroom, and it puts them right in the thick of real work and real dirt, with all our animals up close and personal.

You’ll see the animals, walk the pasture, and learn all about sustainable agriculture in a whole new way.

What You’ll See and Do on the Tour

A tour of McIntyre Family Farms has a lot to offer. You won’t just walk around the farm. You’ll get up close and personal with our animals to feed them and collect eggs, learn about how we sustainably raise our animals with rotational grazing, and learn about the equipment that makes our family farm possible.

This is a full sensory experience that you won’t want to miss. You’ll experience:

• The rustic and natural smells of a farm bring you back to simpler times.

• The personal connection that comes with getting close to the animals.

• The fresh, clean air as you travel through our pastures.

• The unique feeling of being out in the open pasture, enjoying dirt and good work.

This tour is great for a lot of different people. We get a lot of schools and families stopping by, homeschooled students, and even adults simply looking to learn more about sustainable farming.

Our farm tour is a great time for everyone!

Why Visit Our Family Farm?

Our family has been farming in Boise, Idaho, since 1910, and we’ve stayed true to the farming practices of the past to provide the best lives to our animals and the finest products to you.

A lot may have changed over the years, but the dedication to our animals’ welfare and the sustainable use of our land are the heart of our business.

When you visit for a tour, you’ll take a hands-on educational journey through generations of the work putting food on our community’s table, and hopefully, feel reconnected with your food.

That’s one of our primary goals. To bring our community back to the simple and honest way of food production, and understanding what goes into your favorite steak, chop, or egg.

Of course, being outside in the fresh air with all the animals around, it’s a lot of fun, too.
