Who's ready?! We started doing fall farm tours back in 2017. In 2021, we wanted to be able to involve more people who wanted to come out and be a part of seeing what we do, visiting the animals, collecting eggs, and more. The "Fall Farm Festival" was born and has been happening every year since. We can't wait to share the day with you!

Join us Saturday, September 27th from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm here on the farm.

You can COLLECT EGGS off our mobile coops with a hay ride (ONE DOZEN EGGS is included with your pass), go through our large STRAW MAZE, get your FACE PAINTED by Left Handed Artist, play in our famous or 'infamous' pea pit, plus visit the pig pasture and other animals, and take pictures. We will have the grill going with delicious options for lunch. Included with your entry will be an exclusive, event only fall special meat bundle COUPON for extra savings (you will receive a coupon for this with your entrance). The store will be open with all our proteins and farm goodies, plus the porch will be full of local pumpkins and straw bales for sale.

Reserve Fall Festival Tickets here and save over day-of prices!

Pioneer Chickens 🐓

We're experimenting with our last batch of meat chickens for the year. They just went into the brooder this week. Instead of raising all Cornish Cross, we are trying out the Pioneer breed. You can see in the picture, they are a little different in their looks. For one, they have a naked neck. They were originally bred from Transylvanian Naked Necks, Delewares, and Cornish Cross chickens. This bird is supposed to be a bit slower growing with a stronger skeletal structure and a hardier survival rate which is key when you're raising birds outside. We're excited to give them a try and see how they perform out on the pasture and then onto your plate. Coming your way soon!

In a world of chickens, be a duck

Chickens and turkeys often greet newcomers with pecks and aggression, but ducks are different—welcoming birds of any kind, size, or condition into their flock. That spirit inspired our “Be a Duck” shirts. In a world that can be harsh, we could all use a little more duck energy.

Soil Nerd

Brad McIntyre, proud “soil nerd,” was recently featured on John Kempf’s podcast. Their conversation covers cover crop seed adaptation, epigenetics, and McIntyre Pastures’ regenerative farming journey. Brad also shares the family’s story, core beliefs, and experience selling pasture-raised meat directly to customers in the Treasure Valley.
